Source: Emirates Airlines spokesman Mike Simon, on life in the UAE. State-owned Emirates is expected to decide within the next three months on whether to go with Airbus's A350 or the Boeing 787 on an expected 50-airplane order. Before any deal can be finalized, however, it has to receive the blessing of the ruling families of the UAE -- who are reportedly "furious" with Congress over the recent ports debacle. That may spell trouble for Boeing... and good news for Airbus.
