While at NBAA2015, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton, checked in with Gulfstream to get updated about their G500 and G600 airplane programs. Tom talked with Steve Cass, the Vice President of Tactical Marketing and Communications for Gulfstream Aerospace. Cass said that the test programs are going very well and that both airplanes were able to make it in to NBAA2015. He said the flight test time is building and they have now flown at speeds up to Mach .99, which is about as close to the speed of sound as you can get without making the “big boom.
