ANN's Daily Aero-Term (12.22.13): Thermal Low

Thermal Low Also known as heat low, it is an area of low pressure due to the high temperatures caused by intensive heating at the surface. It tends to remain stationary over its source area, with weak cyclonic circulation. There are no fronts associated with it. An example is the low that develops over southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico during the summer months.

Aero Linx: The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) is a Council of business aviation associations from around the world. Governance is established through the IBAC Governing Board, with representation from each of the Member Associations. The Board meets twice per year to establish business aviation policies and priority activities for the industry. Ongoing activity of the Council is managed by an IBAC Secretariat consisting of the Director General, assisted by a staff of experienced specialty managers responsible for ICAO Liaison, Safety Standards, Regulatory Affairs and Office Management.

Both aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of 2016. The 787-9 is larger than the 787-8 that Norwegian currently operates on its long-haul routes.
