Santa Ana Winds
The hot, dry
winds, generally from the east, that funnel through the Santa Ana
river valley south of the San Gabriel and San Bernadino Mountains
in southern California, including the Los Angeles basin. Classified
as katabatic, it occurs most often during the winter and it is an
example of a foehn wind.
Aero-Linx: Guillow Model
Admit it... you started here... or at least, a great number of
us did -- with a model airplane like those seen on this site. Paul
K. Guillow, Inc. has been a primary source for balsa wood airplane
kits and flying toys since 1926. From the Fokker triplane to the
Sopwith Camel of WWI to the P-51 Mustang and P-38 Lightning of WWII
to the modern day F-15 Eagle fighter jet, Guillow has modeled it
all... Check the site out and take a walk though yesteryear and see
if you enjoyed doing so as much as we did (especially with
Christmas right around the corner).
"...our current work flow and other and new business
opportunities will provide a sustainable business for Avcorp. In
addition the capital restructuring and financing activities
undertaken during 2009 and 2010 have provided a less expensive cost
of capital and debt service requirements which will assist Avcorp
through this period of transition."

announcing that Cessna Aircraft will be bringing previously
produced Avcorp assembly work back in-house.
