Airborne 10.23.17: First A330neo, NavWorx Closed, Evolution Aircraft Problems

The first of three A330neo Family development aircraft to fly – MSN1795, an A330-900 variant – successfully completed its first flight on Thursday. The flight originated at Toulouse-Blagnac, France and lasted 4 hours and 13 minutes, landing back at the airport at about 1410 local time. The aircraft was powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 turbofans. The French Military is training four Golden Eagles to attack drones in flight as a way to defend against potential spying or attacks from the unmanned aircraft.
