A warm dry wind
on the lee side of a mountain range, whose temperature is increased
as the wind descends down the slope. It is created when air flows
downhill from a high elevation, raising the temperature by
adiabatic compression. Classified as a katabatic
wind.
Aero-Linx: Formation and Safety
Team (FAST)
The Formation and Safety Team (FAST) is a worldwide, educational
organization dedicated to teaching safe formation flying in
restored, vintage military aircraft and civilian aircraft. FAST is
comprised of seventeen signatory organizations whose mission is to
support education in the restoration, maintenance and flight of
their members' aircraft.
