Non-profit group History Flight has embarked on its 2009
Barnstormer Tour of the nation's east coast, starting out in
southern Florida and working their way to Vermont by this
summer.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum is recognized as East
Anglia's Aviation Heritage Centre. Maintained and run by
volunteers, with one paid staff member, the Museum celebrated its
35th Anniversary in 2007.
A family of advanced-technology propellers characterized by
multiple scimitar-shaped blades with thin sharp-edged profiles.
Single and contra rotating examples promise to extend propeller
efficiency up to an aircraft Mach number of about 0.8.
"The general aviation market has slowed; new orders
have fallen off considerably; many existing orders have been
terminated and used inventory has increased dramatically. Simply
put, consumer demand for aircraft and services has declined
precipitously."
