DayJet Co-Founder Set to Attempt Comeback

AtlantisRoad Corporation Announced

Nancy Iacobucci, co-founder DayJet, the defunct, Boca Raton, Florida-based provider of on-demand jet travel and operator of Eclipse 500 very-light-jets, has emerged from obscurity with an eye toward creating a new air-charter sector she describes as per-seat-on-demand. The means by which Iacobucci seeks to actualize her latest vision is AtlantisRoad Corporation, a start-up ostensibly formed in 2017 and consisting, presently, of a newly-created website which purports: “Our mission is to empower a new category of regional air service created for business and branded per-seat-on-demand.”

Massive Raises Doled Out as Insolvency Looms

In May 2023, following the impromptu abdication of company founder and CEO Kenny Dichter, former Wheels Up board-member Ravi Thakran was named executive chairman of the embattled aircraft charter concern. The power vacuum left in Dichter’s absence also saw then Wheels Up Chief Financial Officer Todd Smith elevated to the station of interim CEO. Comes now July 2023 and news that Thakran and Smith have been awarded stratospheric raises as the company with which they've been entrusted continues to lose upwards of $1-million per-day.
