2021 NBAA-BACE Will Take Place From Oct. 12-14 In Las Vegas

NBAA has JUST announced the cancellation of its 2020 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), which was scheduled to take place in Orlando, FL, Oct. 6-8. The cancellation is based on clear guidance from public health officials at all levels of government addressing the unique, complex COVID-19 related challenges associated with large indoor venues. For example, the Florida Department of Health has recently issued an advisory recommending that individuals avoid participation in gatherings of more than 50 people.

Approved! The H160 Receives Gets The Nod From EASA

The Helicopters Have Flown Over 1500 Hours Both For Flight Tests And Demo Flights

Airbus Helicopters’ multi-role twin engine H160 has been granted its type certificate by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), marking a new chapter for the programme. The company is expecting FAA certification to follow shortly prior to first delivery to an undisclosed US customer later this year. “The successful completion of the H160 Type Certificate is the result of several years of tremendous work and efforts accomplished jointly by the involved technical teams of the Agency and Airbus Helicopters in a remarkable fruitful cooperation spirit,” EASA Certification Director Rachel Daeschler said.

Becker Avionics Expecting STC Approval of the AMU6500 Audio Panel

Avanti STC Package Expected In In Mid-July

Becker Avionics is about to receive STC approval for its AMU6500 audio panel with the first step by FAA, and afterwards by EASA. It will replace the former Baker (not Becker!) audio panels in the Piaggio P180 Series aircrafts. These models include the Avanti II and Avanti Evo aircraft models. Becker's AMU6500 modification will transform the audio system of the aircraft from a mono source of audio to a stereo source of audio. In addition to the stereo audio, the AMU6500 will allow the owners and operators of these aircraft to experience a new range of extras.
