Final Numbers Released On Attendance And Exhibitors
The 100th anniversary of the Paris Air Show saw solid numbers
for attendance and participation by vendors, despite opening
against a backdrop of global economic recession which is affecting
air travel, business, and general aviation.
NTSB Probable Cause Report Released For September, 2008
Accident
The NTSB has released its probable cause report in the crash of
a Convair CV-580 which killed the pilot and two others on board.
The accident occurred on September 1st of last year.
Embraer held a delivery ceremony Wednesday at the
Company’s headquarters in São José dos Campos,
Brazil, of an Embraer 175 jet to Trip Linhas Aéreas, the
largest Brazilian regional airline. The company has five firm
orders for the Embraer 175, in a deal that includes options for
another ten aircraft .
Thousands In Service For Training, Commercial, And Personal
Use
Sikorsky Global Helicopters, a Sikorsky company, Wednesday
marked the 25th anniversary of the first delivery of the aircraft
now known as the S-300C helicopter. The first 300C helicopter
manufactured by Schweizer was delivered to the Baltimore Police
Department on June 24, 1984.
