News From Paris: Cessna Books BIG NetJets Order

Deal For 97 Planes Worth More Than $1 Billion

Cessna Aircraft Company announced Wednesday at the Paris Air Show that NetJets, already the company's largest Citation customer, has signed a deal to further increase its fleet by another 96 Citation business jets. The order includes 50 Encore+, 37 XLS+ and nine Citation X aircraft... and totals more than $1 billion.

News From Paris: AW119 Ke Awarded European Certification

FAA Certification Expected Later This Year

AgustaWestland told ANN Wednesday the AW119 Ke (Koala enhanced) helicopter was awarded EASA certification during a ceremony held Wednesday at the Paris Air Show. The certification process was performed by ENAC (Italian Airworthiness Authority) under EASA task allocation.

News From Paris: Viking Air Wins 10-Plane Order From UAE Company

Twin Otters Heading To The Mideast

Viking Air Limited, which recently restarted the production-line for its 20-passenger DHC-6 Twin Otter as the "Series 400," recently received a firm order for 10 aircraft from Emirates Advanced Investments (EAI) headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The contract was signed by the two companies at the Paris Air Show this week.
