The next-generation, all digital SportPlane Resource Guide is slowly getting ready for its public unveiling and the result is looking really good! The MOST comprehensive book EVER undertaken about all things sport aviation, the newest version expands the last version’s 1100 pages to what appears to be some 2000 pages... at least. The digital capabilities mean that the eSPRG will also add video, audio, webinars and very frequent newsletters to the mix. NBAA Unhappy with DC Think Tank’s Snub

Study by ‘Institute for Policy Studies’ “Omits Key Information about Innovations that Lower the Carbon Footprint of Business Aviation”

The NBAA took issue with a Washington DC-based policy group, describing its work as “promoting a misleading caricature of business aviation that ignores the sector’s sustainability leadership and the industry’s essential role in the nation’s economy and transportation system.” The group, the opaquely-named “Institute for Policy Studies”, lies accused of ignoring advances in the aviation industry to paint an unflattering, unrealistic picture of its overall carbon impact over the coming decades.

Maintenance Competition Highlights Need to Foster Future AMTs for Industry Survival

The recent NBAA Maintenance Competition helped to highlight the organization’s desire to bring up future personnel, providing students a chance to show off their skills and nab some helpful scholarships. The competition saw more than 60 students from 5 schools come together to pit their skills against one another, followed by a keynote speech by Barrington Irving.
