Bolen: GA Operations Have Declined More Than 70 Percent

NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen (pictured below) asked Congress to build on the CARES Act in calling for continued, targeted relief for the nation's general aviation (GA) industry, including business aviation, in written testimony submitted before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Bombardier Resuming CA Manufacturing Operations Next Week

11,000 Employees To Return-To-Work Over The Next Few Weeks

Bombardier is about to begin the process of recalling most of its Canadian based employees who were placed on furlough following government mandates enacted to slow the spread of COVID-19. Suspended manufacturing and service activities will gradually resume as of May 11. Nearly 11,000 employees are expected to be back to work across Aviation and Transportation segments and Bombardier’s Corporate Office. Rejected Takeoff Results In Runway Overrun

On April 24, 2020, about 1520 eastern daylight time, an Israel Aircraft Industries 1125 Astra SP, Venezuelan registration YV3427, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE), Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The airline transport pilot, commercial copilot, and one passenger were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight.
