S-64F and Bell 214ST Helos To Take On Firefighting Roles

Erickson Incorporated, a worldwide leading operator, maintainer, and manufacturer of utility aircraft, announces three new USFS Firefighting contracts for the upcoming 2021 wildfire season. The USFS cooperates with CAL FIRE, US Department of Interior agencies Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service and Bureau of Indian Affairs, on aerial firefighting contracts. Erickson has been working for the US Forest Service on firefighting contracts since 1995 and is a global leader in aerial firefighting, with current firefighting contracts in USA, Canada, Australia, Greece, Italy, and South Korea.

Textron Aviation Celebrates 1,000 Deliveries Of The Citation 560XL Series

The Citation XLS+ Equips Operators With Speeds Of Up To 441 Knots

Textron is touting the 1,000th delivery of its 560XL series midsize business jet with a delivery of the Cessna Citation XLS+ to a customer based in the Northeastern United States. The aircraft will be managed and operated by Custom Jet Charters, an FAA-certified Part 135 operator based at Palm Beach International and Westchester County Airports, known for providing air charter services. Today, the global fleet of 560XL aircraft has amassed more than five million flight hours.

AD: Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Airplanes

AD 2021-06-01 Prompted By A Report That Electronic Circuit Breakers (ECBs) Were Found In A Locked State

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. (Pilatus) Model PC-24 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that electronic circuit breakers (ECBs) were found in a locked state after maintenance, but before flight. This AD requires revising the airplane flight manual (AFM) to incorporate a procedure to check for the ECB status. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective May 4, 2021.

AD: Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Airplanes

AD 2021-06-04 Prompted By Notification Of Corrosion Present In Floor Beam Support Links

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (Gulfstream) Model GV airplanes. This AD was prompted by notification of corrosion present in floor beam support links. This AD requires inspecting the right butt line 6 floor beam inboard support links and bushings for corrosion. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective May 4, 2021.
