Transport Canada OKs Night VFR Configuration In AS350 Helos
Aeronav Avionics of Pitt Meadows, BC has been given the go-ahead by Transport Canada for installation of Aspen Avionics Evolution EFD1000H/MFD500H dual display, night VFR configuration in the AS350 series helicopter.
Crack Was Detected On The Lower Hub-Shaft Flange Of A Main Rotor Hub (MRH) Shaft
EASA has issued an emergency AD applicable to some Eurocopter EC 135 and EC 635 model helicopters. During a periodical inspection of an EC 135 helicopter, a crack was detected on the lower hub-shaft flange of a main rotor hub (MRH) shaft.
The FAA has approved type certification for GE Aviation's H80 turboprop engine. The move follows similar certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) that the engine received in December.
