NBAA Rallies Members to Oppose Elimination of New York’s Aviation Jobs Act

State Senate Bill 7135 And Assembly Bill 9053 Would Eliminate The AJA

NBAA is encouraging its New York members to make their voices heard against proposals in the state legislature that, if enacted, would eliminate the Aviation Jobs Act (AJA) that has driven key aviation investment across the Empire State. Enacted as part of the 2015 state budget, the AJA made New York competitive with surrounding states that had already enacted similar sales-and-use tax exemptions to grow aviation business. Despite these positives, however, New York State Senate Bill 7135 and Assembly Bill 9053 would eliminate the AJA, cutting jobs and jeopardizing investments made to the state’s aviation industry.

Cessna Citation Down After Highly Erratic Final Moments

Wreckage Located In Remote Northern Georgia A winter storm and the associated weather may be implicated in a Saturday accident that brought down a Cessna Citation down after a flight that saw highly variable altitude and heading deviations in the moments prior to impact. The Citation took off from Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field in Peachtree City, GA, shortly before 1000, local time. The conditions at the time featured what locals called a rare and heavy North Georgia snowfall.
