While drone hardware may get a lot of headlines, it's the software that makes them fly, and useful. A new report from ASDReports "Drone Software Market by Architecture (Open Source, Closed Source), Offering (App-Based Software, Desktop Software), Application (Control & Data Capture, Image Processing, Analytics), Platform, and Region - Global Forecast to 2022" indicates that the drone software market is estimated to be $2.85 Billion in 2016, and is projected to reach $12.33 Billion by 2022, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 27.63% during the forecast period.

Fuel Leaks Originating From The Drain Valve Assembly On Certain Engines

The FAA has issued an emergency AD prompted by reports of fuel leaks originating from the drain valve assembly (DV) on certain Arriel engines. Investigation revealed that these fuel leaks were caused by non-compliant diaphragms. This condition, if not corrected, could result in an engine compartment fire, in-flight shutdown, and damage to the helicopter.
