Bel Air AW189 Helicopters Surpass 6,000 Flight Hours In North Sea Operations

The two AgustaWestland AW189 super medium twin engine helicopters operated by Bel Air of Denmark have exceeded 6000 flight hours as of January, setting a new milestone while demonstrating exceptional availability and mission effectiveness performing long range offshore transport missions in the North Sea. This outstanding result was possible through the strong cooperation between the operator and Leonardo’s customer support team.

Moore County, NC Sheriff’s Office Purchases UAS

Will Be Employed For A Variety Of Law Enforcement Operations

Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced today that the Moore County Sheriff’s Office has purchased an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) equipped with an eye-in-the-sky camera for surveillance in a variety of law enforcement operations. Three deputies have been trained and have received their FAA and North Carolina certifications which are required for the deputies to fly and operate these types of aircraft legally in North Carolina.
