FAA Qualifies First Pilatus PC-24 Full Flight Simulator

Level C FFS To Be Located In Dallas, TX

The first full flight simulator for the new PC-24 Super Versatile Jet has received interim Level C qualification from the FAA. The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is expected to be qualified by the European Aviation Safety Agency early next year. Training is scheduled to begin at FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Dallas, Texas during the first quarter of 2018.

Nevada To Pursue New FAA Drone Program

Applies To Participate In UAS Integration Pilot Program

The State of Nevada has completed the first step for applying to participate in the FAA's Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Integration Pilot Program (IPP). By filing a notice of intent, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) will serve as Nevada’s lead applicant for the program, which was developed as an opportunity for state, local and tribal governments to partner with private sector entities, such as UAS operators or manufacturers, to prepare proposals for more advanced UAS operations, such as beyond visual line-of-sight or UAS operations over people. The competition to participate in the FAA program is fierce, with more than 200 notices of intent submitted and only five spots guaranteed.<
