Eurocopter Launches The Law Enforcement Version Of Its EC145 T2

Initial Order Placed By Germany’s Baden Württemberg Police

Germany’s Landespolizei Baden Württemberg has ordered six Eurocopter EC145 T2 helicopters, becoming the first law enforcement customer for this evolved version of the EC145 twin-engine rotorcraft. When delivered in 2015-2016, these EC145 T2s will provide the southwestern German state’s police force with a highly capable multi-role fleet to replace a mixed fleet of two other helicopter types.

Bell Helicopter Announces New Helicopter Assembly Facility In Louisiana

Company Will Create 115 Jobs And Invest $11.4 Million In Equipment And Tooling

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Bell Helicopter CEO John Garrison on Tuesday announced the company will build its new SLS helicopter line at Lafayette Regional Airport, leading to the first modern-era aircraft assembly facility in Louisiana history. The project will create 115 new direct jobs averaging more than $55,000 per year, plus benefits.
