The FAA has granted a provisional type certificate for the
Hawker Horizon to Raytheon Aircraft Company, following over 1800
hours of developmental and certification flight testing. This
historic milestone was followed by another major event -- the first
customer acceptance of a Hawker Horizon.
The NBAA tells ANN that beginning January 1, the control tower
at Fulton County Airport (FTY) in Atlanta, GA, will discontinue its
midnight shift and adopt new hours: weekdays, closed 10:00 p.m. to
6:00 a.m.; weekends, closed 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
NBAA has selected two students to receive the 2004 William M.
Fanning Maintenance Scholarship. Shannon Stuart Spangler and Anna
Romer each will receive $2,500 to further their education as they
pursue careers as aviation maintenance technicians.
