The NTSB has released a preliminary report from an accident involving two Robinson R-22 helicopters that were conducting wildlife management operations on private property in Hebbronville, TX. The pilot and a passenger on board one of the aircraft were fatally injured, while a passenger on the second helicopter sustained serious injuries. The pilot of the second helicopter was not injured, according to the report.

Flights Were The First Commercial Drone Deliveries Of A Medical Prescription In The United States Under An FAA-Approved Program

UPS  subsidiary UPS Flight Forward Inc. and CVS Health Corporation subsidiary CVS Pharmacy, Inc. have successfully completed the first revenue-generating drone delivery of a medical prescription from a CVS pharmacy directly to a consumer’s home. This was followed by another delivery of a medical prescription to a second customer in a nearby retirement community. Both flights occurred on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, using the M2 drone system by UPS partner and drone systems developer Matternet.

United States Sues Air Methods

Alleges The Company Operated Air-Ambulance Helicopter With 'Severely Corroded' Components

United States Attorney Jason R. Dunn has filed a complaint for civil penalties against Air Methods Corporation. The Complaint alleges that Air Methods violated FAA regulations by operating an emergency-services helicopter on 51 flights after having been notified by the FAA that the helicopter’s pitot-tubes—parts necessary to determine airspeed—were “severely corroded.”
