AT&T Deploys Flying COW In Puerto Rico

Helps Extend Cellular Service On The Island

This COW might not be able to jump over the Moon, but it is helping residents of hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico make phone calls. COW is an acronym for Cell On Wings, It is a helicopter drone that is being used by the communications company to extend cellular service in areas where the infrastructure was severely damaged by hurricane Maria.

AMA Adds Commercial Drone Insurance To Member Benefits

The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is now offering its members insurance coverage for the commercial use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), also known as drones, underwritten by Starr Indemnity & Liability Company, a member of Starr Companies. This new affinity program will enable AMA members to purchase commercial drone insurance at some of the lowest rates in the industry. It represents a significant expansion of AMA’s existing member benefits portfolio.
