Gulfstream G500 And G600 Confirm Performance Updates

The Maximum Operating Speed Of Both Aircraft Is Mach 0.925

Gulfstream's G500 and G600 have demonstrated additional range capabilities through real-time operations. The newly increased range for the G500 and G600 apply to both the high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90 and the long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85. The G500 now delivers 5,300 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 and 4,500 nm at Mach 0.90. Bill Builds On Similar Language Rep Larsen Championed In The House-Passed HEROES Act

Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02), Chair of the House Aviation Subcommittee, and Rep. Don Beyer (VA-08) introduced the National Aviation Preparedness Plan Act of 2020, legislation to require the development of a national aviation preparedness plan for future public health emergencies. NTSB Prelim: Bell 206

About 15 Minutes After Departure He Heard A “Binding Sound” And Felt A Reduction In Engine Power

On October 16, 2020, about 1515 eastern daylight time, a Bell 206B, N777CP, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Zephyrhills, Florida. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to the pilot, about 15 minutes after departure he heard a “binding sound” and felt a reduction in engine power and a slight nose left yaw. He checked his engine instruments and noted no illumination of annunciator lights or engine warnings. The low rotor rpm aural alarm then sounded, and he initiated an autorotation to a swamp.
