All Funds Support CAN's Mission Of Providing Charitable Flights To Cancer Patients
The annual Corporate Angel Network (CAN) charity event at NBAA-BACE in Orlando raised nearly $300,000 for CAN’s mission to transport cancer patients to treatment centers. The Fund an Angel Cocktail Reception was held at the Hilton Orlando on October 17th, in conjunction with NBAA’s 2018 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).
Will Take Delivery Of Three Of The Helicopters In 2019
At Helitech, Airbus Helicopters and DRF Luftrettung have signed a contract about the delivery of three H145s in 2019. This will bring the H145 fleet of the German Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operator to 17, making them one of the biggest H145 operators worldwide.
Will Work On NASA Traveler Project Through A Space Act Agreement
NASA and Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) will partner over the next 24 months to develop a framework for autonomous aircraft that can be used to achieve FAA certification. For MTSI, it will be the company’s first ever NASA Space Act Agreement, which enables it to partner with NASA Armstrong on the NASA Traveler Project.
Every G500 Will Be Manufactured With The System Installed
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation recently announced FAA certification of its G500 equipped with BAE Systems’ active sticks. The achievement marks a milestone in the history of flight controls, as the world’s first certified civil active inceptor – an accomplishment that earned both BAE Systems and Gulfstream the 2017 Aviation Week Technology Laureate Award. Every G500 jet will be manufactured with BAE Systems’ active sticks installed.
