Eleven Honored For Leadership In Support Of Aviation Safety At NBAA-BACE
The NBAA recognized 11 recipients of its annual Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation Award, which honors individuals in the business aviation industry for outstanding professionalism and leadership in support of aviation safety.
Avitas Systems, a GE venture, has received FAA approval to fly an unmanned aerial system (UAS) beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) in Loving County, Texas. The permission authorizes Avitas Systems to fly a UAS over 55 pounds at low altitudes without a visual observer for industrial inspection; it is the first FAA-approved civil use of BVLOS with radar.
Helideal France To Become First International Bell 505 Certified Training Facility
Bell Helicopter has launched their Certified Training Facilities (CTFs) to expand its global training offering. CTFs such as Helideal, a Bell Independent Representative based in southern France, will provide the highest standard of initial and recurrent pilot training under the umbrella of the renowned Bell Training Academy.
