The Polar Research Institute Of China Ordered An Aw169 Helicopter With Delivery In Early 2019

Leonardo announced today that the Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC) has purchased an AgustaWestland AW169 light intermediate helicopter. The aircraft, which is planned to be delivered in early 2019, will be provided with a dedicated configuration to support Chinese Polar Scientific Exploration Tasks and perform a range of roles including passenger transport, iceberg sighting, and cargo sling operations.

FAA Approves Winglet Technology Transitional Winglets On The Citation Sovereign

Amended In August To Include The Entire Sovereign Fleet

The FAA has granted STC approval to Wichita, Kansas-based Winglet Technology for the installation of their Transitional winglet design on the Cessna Citation Sovereign. The STC was initially issued on June 20, 2017 and subsequently amended on August 31 to include the entire Citation Sovereign fleet. To date, Duncan Aviation has completed two installations and Textron Aviation has completed one.
