FAA, EASA Certify Hartzell 5-Blade Swept Prop

Claim Increased Performance For TBM 700/850

The FAA and EASA have granted type certificate approval to Hartzell Propeller for an advanced swept airfoil structural composite five-blade propeller for TBM 700/850 aircraft. The new design, specifically engineered for the single-engine TBM turboprop, delivers faster takeoff acceleration, higher cruise speeds and better climb, along with less noise.

City Of Nagoya, Japan Orders Eurocopter AS365 N3+ Dauphin Helo

Aircraft To Fly Firefighting And Rescue Missions

Eurocopter Japan has signed a contract to supply Nagoya with an AS365 N3+ Dauphin for operation by the Nagoya City Fire Bureau as an upgrade for the service’s existing helicopter resources. Delivery of this new rotorcraft is planned in 2015 to the Pacific Coast city of Japan, which is the country’s fourth most populous urban area.
