Carrier Plans To Retire The Aging Aircraft In Three Years

At the 2017 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS), CAE announced the expansion of its agreement with Air Niugini to support the airline's Fokker F100 pilot training needs in the region. Pilots began training in the second half of 2017 and CAE instructors are currently delivering type-rating training at the CAE Perth Training Center in Australia.
A 787-9 newly configured aircraft equipped with AVANT In-Flight Entertainment system as entered service with Japan Airlines. The new JAL Sky Suite 787-9 cabin on the airline’s Tokyo Narita to Kuala Lumpur route debuted this summer.
Partners With The Little Engineer For Two Workshops Last Week
The Airbus Foundation, together with its partners The Little Engineer, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Space and Technology Association, conducted two workshops of the Airbus Little Engineer program in Singapore last week. This marks the second round of the program in Singapore since August 2015.
CAE has expanded its training footprint in Southeast Asia, through a collaboration with the Jakarta Aviation Training Center (JATC). Through this collaboration, CAE will deploy its first-ever owned full-flight simulator (FFS) in Indonesia, supporting the growing pilot training needs of airline customers in the region, such as AirAsia Indonesia. The Airbus A320 FFS will be delivered to JATC's training facilities near Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the Fall of 2017.
