Contract Is Released For A Vote By Rank And File Pilots
The Board of Directors for the Southwest Airlines Pilots'
Association (SWAPA)voted on Thursday to send a new tentative
agreement to the membership for a ratification vote. The board also
voted unanimously to endorse the TA.
To Date, The Only Runway Safety Products To Achieve FAA
Milestone
Honeywell's SmartRunway and SmartLanding technologies, developed
to reduce runway accidents at crowded airports, have received FAA
Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval, the company announced
Wednesday. The approval will allow the company to deliver its
runway products to customers for aircraft installation.
National Air Cargo founder Christopher Alf, along with some
other transportation industry experts, are advocating a supply
chain solution to meet the congressional mandate of screening 100
percent of cargo transported on passenger aircraft by August
2010.
