Boeing Working With Leading Russian Airports To Increase Capacity

Initiative To Optimize Ground And Air Operations Prior To 2014 Sochi Olympics

Boeing announced Tuesday at the Moscow Air Show that it has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate toward increasing the efficiency and capacity of leading Russian airports. Boeing will work with the Basel Aero Company, operator of Sochi Airport in Basel and with Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography.

A firm order for six 777-300 Extended Range (ER) airplanes has been finalized between Boeing and Thai Airways International (THAI). The order completes an agreement to purchase Boeing 777-300ERs announced during the Paris Air Show in June. At list prices, the order is valued at $1.7 billion.
