ANN REALTIME Update 08.27.06 1830 EDT: At a
press conference from Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, KY, a
spokesperson with the National Transportation Safety Board confirms
the CRJ-100 involved in Sunday's accident was lined up on a heading
of 260 when the plane crashed immediately after takeoff.
Issues ranging from a child who said the wrong thing... to a
missing panel in a lav... to a college student carrying a stick of
dynamite he bought in South America are but three of the reasons a
total of seven commercial airline flights were disrupted on
Friday.
Crisis, averted... or just postponed? A federal
judge Friday blocked flight attendants at Northwest Airlines from
launching a series of wildcat strikes aimed at disrupting
operations at the airline... just hours before those strikes were
set to begin.
