Will Allow Commercial Aviation Customers To Stream Flight Data In Real Time
Viasat and Teledyne Controls have announced a partnership to bring real-time connected flight deck services to commercial airlines. Designed for Viasat in-flight connectivity (IFC) customers, this partnership allows commercial airlines to decrease operational costs by eliminating expensive manual data off-loading processes; make better use of data mid-flight with improved data analysis and relevancy; and reduce data loss through preventative maintenance and the immediate access of flight deck information.
Memorandum Of Understanding Signed At Paris Air Show
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), the industry’s number one regional aircraft lessor has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 20 A220 Family aircraft. The deal was signed at the Paris Air Show between Martin Møller, NAC Chairman and Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
Aircraft Is Being Modified For Combination Passenger/Cargo Configuration
Mid-Canada Mod Center (MC2) has completed an extensive cockpit update to a Boeing 737-300. The project was started in February of this year and completed in June. The aircraft is now undergoing modification to “combi” status - a mix of cargo and passenger configuration. The aircraft will operate from a variety of airfield and airspace areas across northern and central Canada.
Undertaking Major Fleet Upgrade With Nine Modern Turboprops
Romanian National Carrier TAROM will introduce nine new ATR 72-600 aircraft, the market-leading product of the world’s number one regional aircraft manufacturer, into its fleet. The ATR 72-600 will be leased from NAC, the world’s number one regional aircraft lessor. Deliveries will commence in October 2019 through to 2020.
