Final assembly of Airbus' first A330-200F is well underway as the new-generation cargo jetliner is readied for its maiden flight in November. This aircraft began an on-time build-up in June, which has included the mating of its fuselage sections, wing and horizontal/vertical tail, as well as installation of the main and nose landing gear.

SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2009-15-07 SUMMARY: In 2005 a lateral runway excursion occurred on an A320 aircraft. Such excursions are classified as hazardous, with a large reduction in safety margins. Investigation has shown that the aircraft landed with the nose wheels rotated nearly 20 degrees from center.
