Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) has launched “Upgrade My Airport,” a robust multi-channel digital media grassroots and educational campaign urging Congress to put passengers first and modernize the locally set Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) in this year’s reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In just its first week, the campaign has already garnered over 260,000 consumer views of its video content on YouTube.

Airbus A320 family aircraft production in the U.S. is on schedule to begin this summer as the large aircraft components for the first U.S.-produced aircraft have departed from the port in Hamburg, Germany, bound for Mobile, AL. The major component assemblies (MCAs) consist of the wings produced in the UK, the rear fuselage section produced in Germany including the tail cone (produced in Spain), and the forward fuselage section, including the cockpit produced in France, all of which contain parts from all over the world.
