A "he said/she said" battle now playing out in a courtroom could
result in dire circumstances for cash-strapped Mesa Air Group. The
Phoenix-based regional airline -- which has branches throughout
nearly the entire US air travel network, including Hawaii -- warned
Thursday it could be forced into bankruptcy if Delta Air Lines
cancels its contract.

Expanded SkyTeam Alliance Also Includes Four Int'l
Carriers
On Thursday, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) said it
will grant antitrust immunity to Delta Air Lines, Northwest
Airlines, and four of their international partners to combine their
transatlantic operations in an expanded SkyTeam alliance.
Wednesday was a day for Southwest Airlines executives, managers,
shareholders and employees to reflect back on the 38-year career of
founder Herb Kelleher. Fortunately -- for Southwest, at least --
there was little in the way of bad news to ruin the party, even as
cross-town rival American Airlines gave all indications it may be

Says Panels Should Be Inspected For Missing, Cracked Clips
Following a March incident involving a Boeing 757-200 flying for
US Airways, on Thursday the National Transportation Safety Board
issued three recommendations to address loose, cracked, and
incorrectly-fastened wing panels on the type.
