Embraer and Widerøe, Scandinavia's largest regional airline, celebrated the delivery of the manufacturer's first production E190-E2 today at a ceremony at Embraer's facility in São José dos Campos. The Norwegian airline will start flying the new aircraft on domestic routes later this month.

CLT To Temporarily Close Runway 5/23 For Taxiway Reconstruction

FAA To Reroute Flights During Construction

Starting April 9, reconstruction to portions of Taxiway A at Charlotte Douglas International Airport will necessitate the temporary closure of Runway 5/23. The repair work will take approximately seven months and is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving. During the reconstruction of Taxiway A, Runway 5/23 will be used solely as a taxiway.

Agreement Covers 380 Powerplants For Airbus Airplanes

Transportation Partners, the leasing arm of Lion Group, and CFM International have finalized an order for 380 LEAP-1A engines to power Airbus A320neo/A321neo aircraft. The final engine order, which is valued at $5.5 billion U.S. at list price was originally announced in February 2016, while the aircraft order was announced in March 2013.
