With an eye towards a surge in e-commerce volume that may outstrip capacity, UPS pilots, represented by the Independent Pilots Association (IPA) have commissioned a survey of major shippers to examine UPS service reliability, both domestic and international.
GTF MRO Network Is Part Of The EngineWise Service Portfolio
Pratt & Whitney has assembled a network of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) companies to service its Geared Turbofan (GTF) engines, which are currently being maintained by a network of the industry's top MRO companies. Those include Pratt & Whitney, MTU Aero Engines (MTU), Japanese Aero Engines Corporation (JAEC) and Lufthansa Technik (LHT). As engine volume grows, the network will continue to expand to include other worldwide airline and MRO facilities.
GECAS has committed to lease twelve Boeing 737 MAX 8s to Jet Airways (India) Limited with deliveries commencing in June 2018 and continuing into 2020. Six of these MAX aircraft will be from GECAS’ skyline order while the other six are from sale and leaseback transactions from Jet Airways’ order book. The new technology aircraft are fitted with CFM-LEAP-1B27 engines.
