Chapter 11 Filing Puts Wrongful Death Suits On Hold

The father of one of the passengers fatally injured in the crash of Colgan Air Flight 3407 has been placed on the creditors committee as part of Pinnacle Airline's bankruptcy proceedings. Twenty-three wrongful death cases were put on hold when the company filed for Chapter 11 reorganization April 1st.

Canadian jet charter provider Air Georgian recently signed a a partnership agreement with Ottawa Aviation Services (OAS) to assist with pilot recruiting and selection needs. A4A Opposes Proposal To Change FAA Crew Rest Rules

Says Applying The Rules To All Cargo Pilots Is Not Justified

Industry trade organization Airlines for America (A4A) has affirmed its support for the FAA's decision to apply the recent final rule on crew-member duty limits and rest only to scheduled passenger airline operations, and voiced strong opposition to newly proposed legislation that would reverse the careful analysis and conclusion by FAA that applying the rule to all-cargo carriers could not be justified.
