Friday the 13th turned out to be a very good day for Boeing as its executives as well as more than 500 employees, suppliers, union representatives and government officials joined China Southern Airlines to celebrate the 4,000th Next-Generation 737 at a special event Friday at Seattle's Boeing Field. The 4,000th Next-Generation 737 jetliner off the 737 production line in Renton, Wash., will be delivered next week to China Southern Airlines, headquartered in Guangzhou, China.

Pretty much everyone has seen photos of jets landing just feet off the beach in St. Maarten's Maho Beach in the Caribbean, but a new video on YouTube which has gone viral is causing local officials to try to keep people out of the path of the planes.
Boeing will bring the 787 Dreamliner to seven more cities on the sixth leg of the Dream Tour later this month and continuing into May. Stops include cities in the U.K., Norway, Italy and the U.S. "The Dream Tour has provided us with a great platform to show customers, partners, government officials and other stakeholders just what the team has achieved with the 787," said Larry Loftis, vice president and general manager of the 787 program.
