Performance Handbook For A380 Revised To Show Improved Fuel Burn
Airbus recently revised its performance handbook to indicate that GP7200-powered A380 aircraft have been demonstrating fuel consumption levels better than previously stated. This latest revision – the third positive adjustment since 2007 -- reflects an additional 0.5% improvement to the previous version of the performance handbook and further increases the GP7200-powered aircraft's competitive advantage.

Garuda Indonesia, the national carrier of Indonesia, has placed a firm order with Airbus for 11 more A330-300 widebody aircraft. The contract was signed Tuesday in Jakarta by Emirsyah Satar, President & CEO, Garuda Indonesia and Tom Williams, Executive Vice President, Programmes, Airbus, in the presence of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and visiting British Prime Minister David Cameron.

New-Engine Variant To Offer Customers Substantial Fuel Savings In 2017
Boeing said Wednesday it has made a series of design updates to the 737 MAX to further optimize the new-engine variant's performance. "The 737 MAX is on-track to deliver substantial fuel-savings to customers starting in 2017," said Beverly Wyse, vice president and general manager, 737 program.
Two F-15 fighters under the direction of NORAD intercepted a Korean Airlines Boeing 777 Wednesday shortly after departing Vancouver, BC at approximately 0400 PDT. The intercept was due to a potential threat associated with the aircraft.
