CAE 7000XR Series Full-Flight Simulator Wins Additional Qualifications

Approved For Extended Envelope And Adverse Weather Training

The FAA has granted Extended Envelope and Adverse Weather Training qualifications to CAE 7000XR Series Airbus A330 full-flight simulator. The qualification was obtained in October 2018 and CAE has already completed similar qualifications for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG, 777 and 787 platforms, in compliance with FAA regulations.

STC Adds ATS Safety Voice And TouchDU display

L2 Aviation, a recognized leader in avionics modifications and installations, has been awarded an amended Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for a major U.S. Carrier to install an Iridium Satcom system for worldwide SATVOICE safety Services in compliance with AC 20-150B. The upgrade will begin with 15 of the airlines’ fleet of 757-200 aircraft. This project expanded upon L2’s existing STC ST10938SC to add the latest available avionics equipment for SATVOICE and integrating a new Gables Engineering TouchDU multifunction touchscreen display.

EU And Qatar Reach An Air Transport Agreement

Result Of Two And A Half Years Of Negotiations

After two and a half years of negotiations, the EU and Qatar have reached a Comprehensive Air Transport Agreement (CATA) providing increased access to each other’s markets. EU and Qatari airlines will enjoy 3rd and 4th freedom traffic rights for passenger flights and ‘limited’ 5th freedom rights for cargo operations. This market opening is in line with the EU’s quest for further liberalization in aviation and its ambition to reach agreements with other 3rd countries.
