CLT To Temporarily Close Runway 5/23

Taxiway Reconstruction To Begin April 1

Starting April 1, reconstruction to portions of Taxiway M at Charlotte Douglas International Airport will necessitate the temporary closure of Runway 5/23. The repair work will take approximately seven months and is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving. During the reconstruction of Taxiway M, Runway 5/23 will be used solely as a taxiway.
