Two Of An Expected 75 Flight Test Hours Are Under The
Wings
The ATR 42-600 pre-series aircraft successfully took to the sky
for the first time Wednesday in Toulouse, France. The aircraft,
powered with Pratt & Whitney 127M engines, took off at 1500
(local time) and completed a 2-hour flight, thus starting a flight
test campaign of approximately 75 hours.
Air Transport Services Group announced Wednesday that its
leasing subsidiary, Cargo Aircraft Management, Inc. (CAM), has
delivered the first of two efficient, Boeing 767 wide body
freighters to Amerijet International, Inc.
THAI Cargo To Be First In Southeast Asia To Utilize 777
Freighters
Boeing has delivered two 777 Freighters to Southern Air
Holdings, the first 777s to join the Norwalk, Conn.-based cargo
carrier's fleet. The addition of these two airplanes makes Southern
Air the world's first aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance
(ACMI) operator to feature the 777 Freighter.
