SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2006-04-11
SUMMARY: The FAA is superseding an existing airworthiness
directive (AD), which applies to certain Airbus Model A321-111,
-112, and -131 series airplanes.
Washington's Dulles International Airport (IAD) received a $200
million pledge from the federal government Tuesday to help build a
fourth runway at the busy airport. Secretary of Transportation
Norman Y. Mineta signed a letter of intent to provide funding over
the next eleven years for the project.
Last Friday, Shenzhen Airlines took delivery of its first two
Airbus A319s, joining six other mainline Chinese airlines operating
the type known locally as "the Mountain Goat" in China.
