FAPA Virtual Pilot Job Fair Draws Over 500 Job-Hunting Pilots

Executives Are Predicting That The Need For Pilots Will Be Extreme In The Coming Years

On 16 December, Future & Active Pilot Advisors (FAPA) hosted their monthly Pilot Job Fair via virtual conference. The online event caught the attention of 536 job-hunting aviators, all of them interested in the existing job opportunities in an otherwise widely-accepted stalled-out aviation industry. Companies such as Delta Private Jets, Aquiline Drones, Atlas and Southern Air, iAero Airways, Piedmont Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and industry newcomer XTRA Airways were present to speak with attendees and encourage them to apply immediately for open pilot positions within their ranks.

AD: Airbus Canada Limited Partnership

AD 2020-26-20 Requires Inspecting The Air Extraction Duct Installation

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus Canada Limited Partnership Model BD-500-1A10 and BD-500-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that during installation on the final assembly line, a foreign object damage (FOD) protective end cap was not removed from an extraction duct of the crew oxygen system. The protective end cap must be removed to prevent a build-up of oxygen under the flight deck floor, which is a fire risk. This AD requires inspecting the air extraction duct installation to determine if a protective end cap is installed, and removing any protective end cap found. AD 2020-26-15 Requires Modifying (Replacing) The Clips, Shear Webs, And Angles At A Certain Rear Fuselage Area

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2016-07-14, which applied to certain Airbus Model A319-111, -112, -113, -114, -115, -131, -132, and -133 airplanes; Model A320-211, -212, -214, -231, -232, and -233 airplanes; and Model A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231, and -232 airplanes. AD 2016-07-14 required replacing the clips, shear webs, and angles, related investigative actions, and repair if necessary. This AD retains the actions of AD 2016-07-14, and requires modifying (replacing) the clips, shear webs, and angles at a certain rear fuselage area with new parts, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency
