South African independent regional airline Airlink is adding 11 Embraer ERJ 140 jets to its fleet. This will bring the number of Embraer regional jets the airline operates to 30. The airline has also extended its existing Flight Hour Pool Program contract for another eight years and expanded it to include the ERJ 140s.

Enters Into Agreement With Fairfax Financial Holdings For The New Venture
Chorus Aviation has announced that it will establish a new regional aircraft leasing subsidiary, Chorus Aviation Capital, and has entered into an agreement pursuant to which Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited and certain of its subsidiaries (collectively, 'Fairfax') will invest CAD $200 million in Chorus through a private placement (the 'Fairfax Investment') of 200,000 convertible debt units (the 'Convertible Units').
