Boeing International President Shephard W. Hill has announced his plans to retire from the company effective April 1, 2015. Hill, who also led the company's Business Development & Strategy organization, served in a variety of key positions throughout his 28-year Boeing career.
Regional Carrier Achieves Paperless Authorization From UK Civil Aviation Authority
The UK Civil Aviation Authority has granted paperless operational authorization to Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline. Flybe has integrated Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro on iPad as their electronic flight bag (EFB) solution fleet-wide, which allowed the carrier to gain paperless authorization status.
Sentenced To Three Years In Connection With Fatal Injury Of 44 People
Airline captain Qi Quanjun was making his first flight from Harbin, China to Yichin in August, 2010 when the plane he was flying went down, resulting in the fatal injury of 44 people. Fifty-two others were seriously injured in the accident.
