LOT Polish Airlines Takes Delivery Of 787 Dreamliner

First European Airline To Fly The New Airplane

Boeing and LOT Polish Airlines celebrated the delivery of the airline's first Boeing 787 Dreamliner Wednesday. The Polish carrier is the first European airline to take delivery of the 787. Senior LOT and Boeing executives, as well as Polish and US government officials, celebrated the historic delivery at an event at the Future of Flight Aviation Center in Mukilteo, WA, near Boeing's 787 final assembly plant in Everett.

US Airways Flight Attendants Conduct Nationwide Protest

Strike Vote Is Underway, Concludes November 20

US Airways flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), held protests at four airports across the country Wednesday after it says the airline's management failed to negotiate a single contract for over 6,700 flight attendants. The America West/US Airways merger of 2005 remains incomplete and flight attendants are still working under separate contracts, in separate operations.

SilkAir has finalized an order with Boeing for 54 Next-Generation 737s and 737 MAX 8s worth $4.9 billion at list prices. With this agreement, the 737 MAX has accumulated 969 orders to date. SilkAir's order for 23 737-800s and 31 737 MAX 8s is the largest order in the airline's history and begins a fleet transition to Boeing airplanes.
