Boeing Has Delivered 100 Of Its Largest Variant Of The
Single-Aisle Airliner
The number of Boeing's Next-Generation 737-900ER (extended
range) flying reached 100 this week, with a delivery to
Tajikistan-based Somon Air. To date, the 737-900ER has logged 414
orders from 16 customers. The Next-Generation 737 family has
won orders for more than 6,000 airplanes and Boeing has delivered
more than 3,800.
Embraer and BOC Aviation, a Singapore-based aircraft leasing
company, have signed a contract for the sale of fifteen Embraer 190
aircraft (pictured in Air Canada livery). Deliveries are scheduled
from the fourth quarter of 2012 through 2014.

Washington Governor Christine Gregoire (pictured) has commented
recently about an Aerospace Competitiveness Study commissioned by
the Washington Aerospace Partnership. Now, a report in the Renton
Reporter reveals some details which support the state's contention
that it remains the best location for construction of the new 737
MAX.

airport development plans and the enthusiasm of investors for the
sector, the Indian and Middle Eastern commercial aviation sectors
are expected to achieve overall annual growth of 9% and 10%
respectively for several years to come.
